Claire Donovan, Director:
I’m a former journalist and joined FRC Group as Communications Manager, before taking over delivery of the End Furniture Poverty campaign in 2019. I’m also a trustee of the Reuse Network, the membership body supporting furniture reuse charities across the UK. I passionately believe that everyone needs to play their part in Ending Furniture Poverty, from Government, to local authorities, social landlords to charities. I’m here to support your organisation and help you to develop the right project, whether that’s furnished tenancies or furniture reuse, or anything else! Please do get in touch for a chat.
Angeline Rochford-Briggs, Social Housing Strategy & Partnerships Lead:
I am delighted to have joined EFP in June 2025 having worked in furnished tenancy provision for over 10 years for a local authority. Prior to that, I joined the world of social housing in 2007, working in community engagement & research-based roles. I am Sociology and Social research graduate and a Housing Policy and Management post-graduate who is extremely passionate about creating homes and communities we all need and deserve.
Daniel Peake, Public Affairs & Campaigns Officer:
After completing my undergraduate degree in Politics and a master’s in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Liverpool, I started work at End Furniture Poverty. As Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer, I work with MPs, Ministers, and other key stakeholders to influence policy decisions. In addition to building and managing these strategic relationships, I assist in formulating and implementing End Furniture Poverty’s core messaging, while also playing a key role in the effective planning and delivery of events, both in Westminster and across the UK.
Abby Preston, Policy & Research Officer:
I have been in the anti-poverty space since graduating from my MA in Public Policy at the University of Warwick, both in a local authority and third sector organisation. I am driven by a passion to end furniture poverty and believe we all have a role to play in achieving this goal. As Policy and Research Officer, I ensure our data and reporting is accurate, robust, and achieves our campaigning goals. If you have any questions about our ideas or research, please get in touch
Julie Lavigne, Time for Bed Fundraising Manager:
My background is in community engagement and frontline support roles including 9 years’ experience in social housing. I’m passionate about supporting the most vulnerable in our society and empowering communities. End Furniture Poverty’s research has shown that there are at least 18,000 children in Merseyside without a bed of their own so I deliver the Time for Bed campaign. We work with Merseyside schools as referral partners, to provide free bed bundles to children, giving them a safe and comfortable place to rest and sleep. If you would like to get involved or can offer support to our vital campaign, please get in touch with me via the Time for Bed website.
